Intro
For this last newsletter of 2022, a lot of sport in the end-of-year exhibitions that will continue for many at the beginning of 2023. The Aventure Peugeot takes advantage of the racing winter break to celebrate the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and exhibit the 9X8 hybrid Hypercar, with its elders 905 and 908. At the Le Mans 24H Museum, Ferrari is in the spotlight, for its comeback, 50 years after its last official participation. Sport always with forty super cars of yesterday and today that take up residence at Autoworld Brussels, while the Gilmore Car Museum celebrates the Corvette. At the Savoy Automobile Museum, the 1950s are in the spotlight with a dozen cars with impressive fins, while the Audrain Museum goes further back in time by highlighting some pieces from its collections symbolic of the first landmarks of automotive engineering. 7 new museums referenced this month on the Automobile-Museums website, 1 in Italy and the other 6 in the United States. There are now 85 museums described in detail on the site! The Stellantis FCA branch (Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Lancia, Abarth) has open a few weeks ago Heritage Hub, a large museum in Turin to present 250 historic cars of the Fiat, Lancia and Abarth brands (Alfa Romeo has already its museum in Milan). The Gilmore Car Museum (Michigan) is the largest American automobile museum, by its size and the number of cars on display. It also has the particularity of hosting on its campus other specialized museums, such as the Pierce-Arrow Museum dedicated to this prestigious American brand of the early 20th century. Not far away, the Buffalo Transportation Pierce-Arrow Museum (New York) exhibits some Pierce-Arrow as well as many other brands, especially some made in the State. In California, the Canepa Museum is dedicated to motor sports, while the Lane Motor Museum (Tennessee) has the distinction of having a very important collection of European cars, while in Florida, it is the American classics that are on display at the Dauer Museum. Little by little, the museums’ Facebook sites (for those who have them) are also added to the presentation pages.
The Exhibitions page has been rebuilt to integrate new exhibitions as they are announced, and to make it easier to find old or current exhibitions. In addition, the calendar of 2023 events, shows, competitions and competitions for classic cars has been updated, in a more interactive format that also allows more information on each event.
