Ferrari Prototipi, la Storia di Le Mans

Museum of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, France

26/11/2022 – 31/03/2023

The Museum of the 24 Hours of Le Mans puts Ferrari in the spotlight, the Italian brand having won the classic Le Mans 9 times returns in 2023 with the 499P, a Hypercar to aim for overall victory. The exhibition presents six emblematic models: the 166 MM, the first Ferrari entered in the 24 Hours and winner in 1949, a 250 LM, prototype that won three consecutive editions between 1963 and 1965, the 500 TR, the 750 Monza, the 512 M, competing with the Porsche 917 with its 5-liter V12, and the 312 PB equipped with a 3-liter V12. If the Ferrari 312 PB has a glorious record with many victories in the races of 6 hours and 1000 km, it could not do better than 2nd of the 24H 1973, behind the victorious Matra. This 312 PB was the last Ferrari to race for overall victory, before the return of the 499P in 2023, 50 years later.
