Autoworld Brussels – Belgium
4 February – 26 March 2023
During the months of February/March, Autoworld Brussels traditionally puts itself at the time of the Beetle. This year, it is the Combi (Transporter of its official name) that will be in the spotlight with a dedicated exhibition.
While the ID. Buzz, the electric generation of the combi, arrives in Belgium, the exhibition “VW Love Bugs – The Buzz Edition” will retrace the story of 7 generations of Combi. A few passionate owners have kindly lent their vehicles that will feature prominently at Autoworld for two months. Each vehicle will be honored with its owner, thanks to a video in which the latter will tell us his journey, his stories and his anthology of anecdotes. A tool to work or discover new horizons, the Combi has accompanied generations and experienced all adventures.
In addition, a space of the museum will be dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the introduction in 1948 of the Beetle in Belgium by D’Ieteren.
And on Sunday, February 12, it will be the famous Love Bugs Parade that will bring together nearly 300 Volkswagen Beetle and Combi! The cars are expected on the Esplanade du Cinquantenaire in front of the Autoworld museum on Valentine’s Sunday, February 12, from 10am. At 2pm, the parade will start towards the Rond-Point Merode and Tervueren for a parade of an hour or so in the vicinity of Brussels following a precise roadbook. Vehicles will return to the Esplanade between 3:15pm. and 4pm.
