The Cité Rétro-Mécanique Maurice Dufresne opens its doors on Saturday, March 30 for the 2024 season. As the reopening coincides with the Easter weekend, it will be the occasion for a great egg hunt revisited by the entertainment team, open to children from 3 to 14 years old.

Solar Car Workshop for Children

Friday April 12, 19, 26 and May 3, 2024 – 3 p.m

The pedagogical team of the Cité Rétro-mécanique Maurice Dufresne offers children from 6 to 10 years old a 1-hour workshop in which they will have the mission of building a small cardboard and solar car. At the end of the workshop, a little good-natured race on the program. It is possible to have a snack on site, at the restaurant Chez Jeannot.

National Vintage Vehicles Day

Sunday, April 28 – 2:30 p.m.- 6:30 p.m.

The Cité Rétro-Mécanique – Maurice Dufresne will participate in the National Vintage Vehicles Day, organized by the FFVE on Sunday, April 28, 2024. This will be an opportunity to discover the collections on display, but also the richness of the reserves of the Cité Rétro-Mécanique Maurice Dufresne!

Giant Cluedo

Sunday, April 21 and May 26, 2024, 3 p.m.

A murder has been committed at the Cité Rétro-mécanique Maurice Dufresne… One question haunts the team: who is the culprit? Come with your family to investigate the museum! We need you to uncover the culprit, the location, the murder weapon, and the motive!

See you at 3 p.m., reward for the family who finds it first!

A night at the museum

Saturday, May 18 – 7:30 pm to 10 pm

For the European Night of Museums, the Cité Rétro-mécanique offers an original self-guided tour in the darkness of the Park and the special atmosphere of the museum. You will also be able to visit the museum’s reserve and discover nearly a hundred vehicles (cars, motorcycles, trucks, etc.) stored in their original state. Diner will be possible in the evening so that you are not left hungry (reservation recommended).

European Mill Day

Sunday, May 19, 2024 – 10:30am

As every year for this European day, the museum invites you to discover in detail the history of the Marnay paper mill and its hydraulic machines, still in operation. You will visit part of the old mill buildings as well as the “Fountain” Turbine and the “Sagebien” Paddle Wheel which has been in place for almost 150 years.

Registration for the tour is recommended.
