Rallye Cars

Musée automobile Reims-Champagne, France

Up to end of 2023

For 2023, the Reims Champagne Automobile Museum is exhibiting some cars that participated in the rallies of the 1970s and 1980s. We find in this presentation rather original cars in the landscape of rally cars, such as the Alpine-Renault A 310. Less famous than the Alpine A 110 Berlinette, this car had a rally career punctuated by several successes. In the same 1970s, the Saab 96 skimmed the Nordic rallies. It compensated for its limited power by its lightness and agility, not to mention the talent of the Scandinavian kings of iced roads. During the 1980s, the Peugeot 205 GTI and the Citroën Visa Chrono were often the first tools of apprentice champions on the roads. Much more powerful, the Citroën BX 4 TC raced in the 1986 world championship, with limited success it must be admitted.
