Peugeot, Adventure on screen

Peugeot Adventure Museum, Sochaux, France

Until October 30 2026

For its major 2026 temporary exhibition, the Peugeot Adventure Museum has chosen to highlight several models that have left their mark on the history of film and television. The exhibition is organized into three themed areas: advertising, cinema, and a section dedicated to the “Taxi” franchise.

Throughout the display, several Peugeot commercials have achieved cult status, featuring compelling storylines, originality, and a touch of humor. The 106, 205, and 206 were not only market leaders but also screen stars!

The “cinema” section takes a more immersive approach, plunging visitors into the world of renowned films such as “Les Tontons Flingueurs,” “Subway,” “Midnight in Paris” (featuring the majestic Landaulet Type 184), “Michel Vaillant” (modified production models and concept cars representing the ”Vaillante”) and other lesser-known titles. One of the most famous Peugeots on television is probably the 403 convertible, which is forever associated with Inspector Columbo around the world.

The final section is dedicated to “the TAXI saga.” It’s impossible to talk about Peugeot and cinema without mentioning the famous and spectacular 406 and 407 models from this cult series. With five films released between 1998 and 2018, the Taxi series produced by Luc Besson quickly became one of the biggest popular hits in French cinema. Visitors can even take a seat in one of the cars from the movie!
