Intro

With the arrival of spring, several museums are launching their annual exhibition, and the themes are again very varied this year, with for example the English cars at the Matra museum, or popular cars (and also motorcycles) in Valençay (France).

The centenary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans continues to generate events, and this month, it is at Autoworld Brussels that opens an exhibition of cars that participated in the race. Another great automotive anniversary, the 75 years of Porsche which is the theme of the new exhibition of the Savoy Museum in Cartersville (GA, USA). Taking a different angle, the National Automobile Museum of Mulhouse (France) is looking in the cars of Louis de Funès’ films. Finally, a reminder, the FCA Heritage Department (Fiat, Abarth, Lancia, Alfa Romeo) has opened to the public since the end of 2022 a large museum near Turin, which presents nearly 250 historic cars of the Abarth, Fiat and Lancia brands.

Info on the website

5 new museums join the site this month, bringing the total number of museums referenced to 90 establishments! The small but very interesting historical museum dedicated to De Dion Bouton is located in Puteaux near Paris. The Pantheon Basel in Switzerland offers a varied collection in an original setting, while the Great British Car Journey exhibits only cars built in England, and also offers to test them. Finally, 2 American museums complete the list of new references, the Simeone Foundation in Philadelphia (PA) dedicated to motor racing, and the Lincoln Heritage Museum, located on the campus of the muse Gilmore in Michigan. In addition, the Lamborghini Museum changes its name and (a little) presentation, so the sheet is updated.
