February 17, 2023, at 7pm
As part of the exhibition Permis de conduire? (Driving license?), the Museum des Arts et Metiers organizes round tables around the theme of mobility. Experts invite us to think about the future of automobile and the relationship, both individual and collective, that we have with the car. The next round table will be on Friday, February 17 from 7pm to 8:30pm on the theme of the autonomous car:
Ready to let you drive? Issues and challenges of the autonomous car
This round table will be moderated by Nathalie Devillier, expert in digital law for the European Commission on AI issues, Dominique Gruyer, research director at the PICS-L laboratory at IFSTTAR – Université Gustave Eiffel and Filipe Vilas-Boas, artist who has prepared works exhibited as part of the exhibition. The first presented is “Sans les mains” (Without hands), “ghostly flywheels levitating in space like post-industrial relics”.
The round table will be followed by a visit-meeting with Filipe Vilas-Boas, on the occasion of the presentation of his works Sans les mains and Entropophone. Access is free, subject to availability and registration on the museum‘s website (in French).
For information, another round table is scheduled for Friday, April 21, 2023 from 7 pm to 8:30 pm on the theme of “the car facing the energy transition”, we will come back to it in a future newsletter
