The Mercedes-Benz Corporate Archive is a unique treasure trove spanning more than 135 years of automotive history. Mercedes-Benz Classic therefore set out to compile and digitize its archives to make them available to the public, and therefore created the Classic M@RS (Multimedia Archive and Research System), a huge database of historical content. All contents of the database are edited by the Corporate Archives to ensure historical consistency and continuity, and the data is updated systematically and regularly.
The hierarchical classification of information makes it possible to quickly search for information about passenger cars from the origins (1886!), competition, important personalities, reviews or press releases. For passenger cars, technical information, drawings and photos can be found for each model. In the competition section, you will find information on most of the models that have participated in races, with of course many photos and for each photo a lot of information about the model, the race, the drivers, the results…
An important section is dedicated to the drivers, not only the well-known stars, but also the many private drivers who have raced on Mercedes. All the categories and events where Mercedes has distinguished itself are referenced, again with photos and details. It is a real mine of information with the guarantee of the accuracy and veracity of the data when looking for information about the brand with the star. The information is available in German and English.
