Savoy Automobile Museum, Cartersville (Georgia), USA
Until June 4, 2023
Like art, appreciation of automobiles is subjective and depends on personal preferences for style, period, category or even social acceptance. The Southeastern United States is exceptionally diverse when it comes to its automotive culture, prestigious private collections, the birthplace of NASCAR and Hollywood boom in the South, and the automotive enthusiast community is thriving. This Savoy Automobile Museum exhibit features a dozen cars, excellent examples of original and restored automobiles owned by those who call Bartow County and the surrounding area home.
By nature, it offers very different cars, mostly American: several muscle cars such as an Oldsmobile Cutlass Convertible, a Pontiac Grand Prix Convertible, both from 1967, a Chevrolet Z28 Camaro (1970) or 2 Pontiac Trans AM (1974 and 1978), but also SUV and pick-up (Willys from 1956, Chevrolet Custom from 1970 or Ford Bronco Ranger from 1973), or 2 sports cars with a 1954 Corvette and a 2020 Ford GT. A very rare European car has found its way into the exhibition, a 1968 Bizzarini 5300 GT .
