50 years of the PEUGEOT 104

Exhibition at L’Aventure Peugeot, Sochaux, France

July 1 to December 31, 2022

The Peugeot Adventure celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of the PEUGEOT 104, a model that has brought many innovations and expanded the brand’s customer base. Indeed, the PEUGEOT 104 was presented to European dealers on October 4, 1972 at the Palais de Chaillot in Paris, then the next day to the general public as part of the 59th Paris Motor Show.

With its 3.58m, it is below the 204 and 304, and is the first “urban” Peugeot of the modern era. But with its 4 doors, it also targets a more family clientele looking for a small practical car.

The PEUGEOT 104 will then be available in a 2-door coupe version, and in particular in its ZS version that will delight many sporty drivers. In total, more than 1.6 million PEUGEOT 104s will be produced in France and Belgium.

Note that, group policy, the PEUGEOT 104 will serve as the basis for 2 other models, the Citroën LN / LNA and Talbot Samba.

For this exhibition from 1st of July to 31st December 2022, the Peugeot Adventure is exhibiting 6 cars, a sedan and 2 ZS Rallye coupes, as well as 3 prototypes. Numerous documents, photos and videos complete the exhibition in order to retrace the history of the PEUGEOT 104 between 1972 and 1988.

In addition, a large gathering organized by the Club 104 Peugeot on Saturday, September 10 in Sochaux, after their visit to the manufacturing site in Mulhouse on September 9.

You own a PEUGEOT 104, join the party at the Museum between 3pm and 6pm on Saturday, September 10. Cousins Talbot Samba and Citroën LN/LNA will also be welcome!
