Henri Malartre Museum, Rochetaillee-sur-Saone (Lyon), France
See calendar
Throughout the year, the Henri Malartre Museum team organises several events, either one-off events or regular.
Ça roule (It’s Rolling)!
“Ça roule” is certainly one of the most original events, since the museum takes advantage of being in the middle of a vast park to regularly run one of the museum’s cars. On the first Saturday of each month, you can admire the cars in motion, enjoy the sound of the engine, and even for a small extra charge (5€) get on board for a tour of the park. The first car to “hit the road” will be the Citroën SM, a large French GT with its Maserati V6. A relative commercial failure, the SM has become iconic and is now highly sought after by collectors.
Guided tours
During some weekends, the museum’s mediators will introduce you to the history of Henri Malartre and his magnificent collection, the beginnings of the automobile, major inventions and iconic brands. New for 2024, some guided tours will be conducted in sign language, opening these tours to a new audience. Supplement of €3 (Adults) or €1 (Children).
Other events will be one off, such as an egg hunt in the park on Saturday March 30, a presentation of old Renaults with the Club of old Renault Amateurs on April 7 or an exhibition of old English cars on April 28.
For more information on dates and reservations, find the calendar on the museum’s website.
