Savoy Automobile Museum, Cartersville (Georgia), USA
July 5 through August 27, 2023
Drop Tops this summer at the Savoy Automobile Museum, an exhibition dedicated to US convertibles from 1934 to 1969. About fifteen cars are presented, the oldest being a Ford model 40 convertible from 1934. There are great classics such as the Chevrolet Corvette (a 1957 model) and the Ford Mustang (1965).
There are also much rarer cars such as the Ford Thunderbird Sports Roadster of 1962, the Kaiser-Darrin Series 161 Roadster with a fiberglass body and sliding doors in the front fenders, or the Nash-Healey of 1953 whose competition versions obtained some successes on the racetracks.
The exhibition also offers some more classic convertibles such as the Chevrolet Bel-Air (1957) or the Ford Custom Deluxe of 1950, or the luxurious Packard Super Eight of 1949 corresponding to the 2nd generation of Super Eight produced after the war.
