75 years of Porsche sport cars

Collection of H.S.H. Prince of Monaco

Until March 20, 2023

The Car Collection of H.S.H. the Prince of Monaco celebrates the 75th anniversary of Porsche with an exhibition dedicated mainly to racing models. There is the Porsche 911 RS 2.7L (property of the Prince and therefore of the Collection) and some loans from collectors, such as the Porsche 908 driven by Hans Hermann already exhibited in the Collection.

Several cars come from the Porsche Museum, such as the 356 B 2000 Abarth, a 356 reworked by the Italian sorcerer, with a lighter Zagato body, which raced both in rallies and on tracks. There are also several Porsche 911, including a “Safari” version from 1978 prepared for the East African Safari, one of the toughest rallies of that era. On the circuit side, a 908/03 Spyder ideal on winding circuits such as the Nurburgring or the Targa Florio, while the 917 models skimmed the faster tracks.

A 962C “Dauer” winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans (1994), as well as the superb 911 GT1 in the colors of Champion Racing, who won the USA championship in 1998.

The pictures on this page belong to Automobile-Museums (911 RS 2,7L and 908 “Hermann”) or to the Porsche Museum, no use or reproduction is allowed without prior written consent of the owner.
