Citroën Conservatory, Aulnay sous bois, France
October 7, 2023
The iconic Citroën 2 CV celebrates its 75th anniversary this year! Indeed, it was on October 7, 1948 that Citroën unveiled the 2 CV at the Paris Motor Show, even though production did not actually start until a year later. More than 5 million units were produced for more than 40 years. Popular, comfortable, simple, durable and accessible, so many qualities that explain its success and make it a model that is still very popular and widely collected.
To mark this memorable anniversary, with the support of the association of 2 CV Clubs de France, seventy-five 2 CV, restored and maintained with passion by private collectors, gathered on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at the Citroën Conservatory in Aulnay-sous-Bois. The public was able to admire many models.
If you missed the event, don’t hesitate to come and visit the Citroën Conservatory, which has some fine specimens of 2 CV within its walls, including the first pre-war prototypes, but also most of the models produced by the brand with nearly 250 models on display.
