Located near Antwerp, the Abarth Works Museum exhibits Abarth models as you can imagine, but also other brands. The other theme of the museum is rally, including many classic rally cars, but which are not often seen as Fiat, Saab or Lada and Polski. Currently closed for renovations, the brand-new museum will open its doors in April 2025, under the name Squadra Abarth & Rally Collection.
Cars
The Abarth Works Museum exhibits about 300 cars. As you might expect, many Abarth models are present, including coupes or open-seaters designed and built by Carlo Abarth. There are also preparations on Fiat or Simca bases, manufacturers with whom he has collaborated a lot. We can mention Simca Abarth 1300 coupe, a Fiat Abarth speed record or Fiat X1/9 prepared for the race. The Simca brand is also widely represented, with several examples of Simca 8, including Simca 8 Sport coupes and convertibles, elegant cars designed by Pininfarina. Among the models that are rarely seen, a large collection of Lada and Polski rally cars, models derived from the Fiat 124 and 125.
Besides cars
The Abarth Works Museum also exhibits many objects and parts related to car rallies. A café allows for a break, and catering can be arranged on request for club visits. Ample parking available.
On the other hand, the Abarth Works Museum can provide amateurs with a service, repair and maintenance workshop, with or without the assistance of a team member. There is also a classic rally team, which can rent cars and provide preparation and assistance for amateur drivers. The museum is also preparing to open a new building in 2025, which will provide a new showcase for the museum’s collections and activities. As a result, the museum is currently closed until it reopens in April 2025. The new museum promises to be superb, and here are a few views of the project and the work in progress.
