Salviac Museum of Agricultural and Automotive Heritage, France
The Salviac Museum of Agricultural and Automotive Heritage will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2026 and kicked off its open season a few weeks ago. The vehicle collection continues to grow, encompassing cars, farm machinery, utility vehicles, and all manner of objects that bring scenes of daily life to life. Started by a passion for tractors first, then vintage cars, Benoit Jouclar’s collection quickly took over the family farm.

In 2006, a great adventure began with the creation of the museum and its opening to the public. Since then, the collection has continued to grow, with new buildings added and an ever-expanding range of services. One of the major new developments for 2026 is the inauguration of a large building constructed during the closure period. It is notably characterized by its roof covered with solar panels. Enclosed on three sides yet bright and airy, it showcases part of the collection—cars, tractors, and farm machinery.

It is, in fact, under the shelter of this new building that we meet the Muse of the Salviac Museum. I’m continuing to develop this program with the FFVE (French Federation of Vintage Vehicles), and for this new muse, I’ve chosen a Citroën Traction – a very classic car that remains highly beloved, and which, to some extent, was the inspiration behind this beautiful museum. Other new features include new theatrical guided tours in period costume, on-site dining options, and a fully equipped restroom facility for RV travelers!
