Intro
This May newsletter is a few days late so we could include a major piece of news for the automotive museum world: the opening of M24 – The Motor Sport Museum. M24 builds on the legacy of the 24 Hours of Le Mans Museum by expanding its collections to include other motor sport disciplines, such as F1, rally, and American motorsports.
This expansion is the result of a partnership with Richard Mille, a renowned watchmaker, motorsports enthusiast, and owner of an impressive collection. M24 is opening just in time for two upcoming major events: the 24 Hours of Le Mans (June 13–14) and Le Mans Classic (July 2–5).
The museum’s page on website has already been updated, and a more detailed article will soon be published in the blog and included in the next newsletter. In this newsletter, other exhibitions await you: Aston Martin at Autoworld Brussels, German automobiles at the Matra Museum (Romorantin, France), the extension of the Citroën Sport exhibition (Helice Galerie, Flin, France), and a new city for the F1 exhibition, which is moving to Munich… In Mulhouse (France), the National Museum is dedicating a special space to Fritz Schlumpf’s Mercedes 300 SL, while the Porsche Museum is highlighting a 911’s world altitude record. Finally, I’ll take you on a tour to Normandy to visit Paul’s Classic Cars, where you can discover their gems for sale and meet their team of enthusiasts.
