The ZeitHaus – Volkswagen Automobile Museum (the House of Time) is part of the Autostadt (Car City), a vast complex established by the firm near its factories in Wolfsburg. Although owned by VW, the ZeitHaus is a multi-brand museum. In a vast glass building, it presents on five floors a collection of classic cars that tells the story of 130 years of automotive mobility.

Cars

Even if the entities of the group are well present, more than 60 different brands representing the automotive world are hosted there. The collection presents about fifty models that have been automotive milestones, innovators that have set standards in technology, design, production methods and concept. The visitor will discover the iconic models of VW, Beetle, Combi, Golf (including GTI), Phaeton, Scirocco alongside other remarkable cars in some respects: Ford T, Lamborghini Miura and Diablo, Citroën DS, BMW 328, Honda S800, Renault R4 …

Besides cars

The ZeitHaus is only a small part of the Autostadt complex. Halls presenting the group’s brands, leisure parks, car test areas, restaurants, shops, hotels… there is enough to occupy a full day!
