The Vendée Automobile Museum is located between Les Sables d’Olonne and Talmont Saint Hilaire on the departmental road 949. For more than 75 years, the Giron family has been recovering, restoring and maintaining cars, 2 wheels and all kinds of accessories related to historic vehicles for the pleasure of heritage preservation.
The cars of the Vendée Automobile Museum
This is how more than 150 vehicles are presented to the public in a room of 3,300 m². The oldest date from the late19th century, and the most recent from the late 1990s. Popular brands are well represented, Peugeot, Renault, Citroën, Ford, Fiat, Opel, but also many defunct brands such as Talbot, Simca, Facel Vega, Panhard or De Dion Bouton.
Besides cars
The museum also presents an interesting collection of 2 wheels, and many objects, accessories or toys related to the automobile. The decoration based on posters, mannequins and period accessories enhances the visit. The museum shop offers many miniatures. The museum has a large parking lot with a picnic area
