ExCeL Londres, Royal Victoria Dock, 1 Western Gateway, Londres E16 1XL, Angleterre
Until March 2, 2025
After Madrid in 2023, Vienna (Austria) and Toronto (Canada) this year, the major exhibition dedicated to Formula 1 settles in London (England) until year end. Visitors will be able to get a behind-the-scenes look at the world of F1 thanks to many innovative technologies. Curated with the support of experts, historians and journalists, the Formula 1 Expo offers a unique insight into the extraordinary world of Formula 1. Six themed rooms exhibit the history, technologies and people who take part in this global competition.
Visitors begin their journey with a visit to “Once Upon A Time In Formula 1”, where never-before-seen films, photos and interviews transport fans through the history of the sport. The “Design Lab” takes visitors inside a Formula 1 factory and allows visitors to discover the typical components of an F1 car, including the 2022 hybrid power unit. Next, “Drivers and Duels” celebrates iconic drivers and legendary races with a Hall of Fame in the form of a large interactive display wall and numerous memorabilia.
‘Fallen Heroes’ is dedicated to the many drivers who have sadly sacrificed their lives in racing, while on the contrary ‘Survival’ pays tribute to safety innovations with the remains of the burned-out HAAS race car from which Romain Grosjean emerged alive in his dramatic 2020 crash in Bahrain. ‘The Pit Wall’ is a stunning cinematic and immersive experience that brings the greatest moments in Formula 1 history to life like never before.
Several F1 cars from different eras will be on display, including the iconic 1961 ‘Sharknose’ Ferrari 156, the legendary 1970 Lotus 72, the 1981 Williams FW07-C, and a quartet of World Champions with Ayrton Senna’s 1988 McLaren MP4/4, Mika Häkkinen’s 1999 McLaren MP4/14, Lewis Hamilton’s 2018 AMG F1 W09 and Max Verstappen’s 2021 Red Bull RB16b.
Photos, films, 360° projection, interactive screens, models, drivers’ equipment, car parts, everything is there to delight F1 fans.
