Located in Stuttgart, the group’s headquarters, the Mercedes-Benz Museum occupies an ultra-modern building with 9 floors and 16500m². Cars from the Mercedes-Benz Museum
We will of course find in the collections all the models that have made the history and legend of Mercedes. The visit develops in 2 parts, the Legends and the Collections. Rooms constitute the first part, and show the chronological evolution of the automobile. After the era of pioneers and the first beginnings, comes the beginning of the industry. Then the famous sports cars, coupes and convertibles of the inter-2-war period, powerfully motorized, the post-war sports cars such as the mythical 300SL, up to the 0-emission cars. The7th and last room is dedicated to racing and records, with the famous silver arrows, Formula 1 and their ancestors, Sport-Proto and touring cars (DTM, rally …)
Besides cars
The industrial vehicle division of Mercedes-Benz is also well represented, with trucks, buses and all kinds of transformations and uses in society over the decades. Several hundred objects complete the presentation of the vehicles, presenting the most diverse technologies, the accumulated trophies and of course a very rich iconography. A cafeteria, a bistro and a restaurant offer a wide choice for dining.
